My favourite ride here at Disney World is Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom. Splash Mountain is this ride where you ride in a log and go down a river while you see animatronic recreations of scenes of Disney’s Song of the South while banjers and old countreh music plays. It is waaaay too fun.

Theres this woman in our room who screams when she talks and everyone shuns her out, her name is melanie. but anyway apparently she was dating the guy with a multiple personality disorder. Here is the conversation i had with him, i was cracking up so loud, i had to leave the room

Brett: You used to date Melanie?

Jim: Yeah but I broke up with her

Brett: Why did you break up with her?

Jim: Because she screams too damn loud

I’d want it to be an old-school adventure film.  A film like It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World or The Cannonball Run or any of those old-style road movies.  I want it shot in the same style, too.  Like in Cinerama or something.  I definitely want an orchestra for the soundtrack, too.  Think of the opening theme to the original Casino Royale.  This to be exact.  I also want at least one musical number.  Definitely ones reminiscient of those in The Muppet Movie.  Also, in the style of “Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” I want every supporting or minor character to be played by a celebrity.  I love movies that do that.  But I want to pick out the celebrities. 

All that being said, I would want Jean-Pierre Jeunet to direct.  I think he could direct a road movie like that and not only that he could make the movie look great as well. 

Also, I would like a better title.  That one was the best I could think of.  “Op Dawp” is definitely a working title.  I guess the real title would almost have to be a line taken directly from an inside joke or a Quote of the Day.  Or else it wouldn’t work.

Gawd if any of you have been watching survivor lately, You know that Brett is kicking ass, And im sure EVERYONE is rooting for him, he is the last stand against evil, if he loses im done watching, ive never been this excited in Survivor history, ever

Honestly, I’m not as big of a fan of this season as I am of last season.  I know I was rooting for Russell S. and Dave, but they’re out now.  I do kind of like Brett, though.  It’s just none of the cast really stands out too much with the exception of Russell H. and Dave. 

As long as Jaison doesn’t win I’ll be fine.

My laptop has been in the shop as of lately and I just got it back last night.  Its good to have it.  Anyroad, for about a week there all the computer using I was doing was here in the computer lab at John A. Logan College.  I kind of like the computer lab because you can have a really good time watching people and learning about them.  Usually, people here are on Facebook, but every once in awhile you can catch someone on MySpace or YouTube.  I’ve never ever seen someone on Tumblr (bummer) and I’ve only seen one person other than me on Twitter.

And with the mention of Twitter, we get to the subject of this Tumbl.  If anyone has caught my tweets or MySpace Status Updates lately, you guys will have noticed several tweets pertaining to one “MGS Flash Kid.”  “MGS Kid” for short.  Everyday I was here in the computer lab I saw him and posted tweets about what he was doing.  He really took my interest.  Sometimes, I would just sit at a computer and stare at him because of how intersting he was.  Let me fill you in…

One day last week, December 7th to be exact, I looked up and saw a kid in the row of computers in front of me.  He was wearing black jeans, black jacket, black sock cap, and white earbud earphones possibly from and I Pod.  He was watching a really professional-looking flash cartoon of the Metal Gear Solid video games.  I saw a forest fire and Big Boss popping up into frame while holding a severed arm and screaming.  Then I saw Solid Snake talking to Otacon just like in the games.  I watched and tried reading the subtitles.  I caught the words “Metal Gear Pyro.”  The cartoon cut off.  I thought nothing of it.

I went back to whatever it was I was doing and looked up just a smidge later.  He was clicking around on a menu.  I saw him type something in and, when he clicked “Apply,” the flash cartoon, now on its menu screen got bigger.  I looked on and saw him typing and clicking more stuff.  Eventually, he began to watch the video again.  It was the same thing and cut off at the exact same time as earlier.  I then started to wonder if he was working on this video.  I tweeted:

“I think the kid in front of me is working on a Metal Gear:Solid flash animation project. I’ve stared at him for over 10 minutes.”

I would have liked to stay longer, but I was getting late for my class.  I left and thought about that video for the rest of the night.  Eventually, I googled “Metal Gear Pyro” and found nothing.  I came to the conclusion that the kid in front of me was in fact making an original Metal Gear Solid Flash Animation short.  Here’s what I tweeted that night:

“I stayed in the computer lab for 5 minutes after that last tweet—I saw Solid Snake, Otacon, and Big Boss carrying an arm.”

“I Googled what seemed to be the title of his short, Metal Gear Pyro and didn’t find anything.”

“I came to the conclusion that he was working on an original Metal Gear Solid Flash. I wish him well & apologise for spoiling his video.”

My mind rested easy for awhile until the next school day.  I went to the computer lab and saw him again!  This time, he was laughing at some video of three guys in an apartment.  I shrugged it off.  I went back to whatever Tumbling I was doing and looked up again about 5 minutes later to see him photoshopping a picture of a kid with a guitar.  Then he started updating his MySpace profile.  I stared as much as I could without seeming pervy.  I tried to find his name or his profile URL so I could look him up but had no luck.  I sat for a long time and decided to move to a different computer so I could get a better vantage point.  I got up to move around and accidentally slammed my side into a table.  Half the computer lab was looking at me.  I felt embarrassed and left. 

The next school day came and I found myself back in the computer lab staring around to see if he was here.  He wasn’t.  I looked at everyone who entered the room to see if it was him walking in.  I didn’t see him and, after awhile, I left.

I came back later that day and he was here!  He was at the same computer as always.  I sat at my computer for a long, long time.  I sat for what seemed like an eternity trying to decide whether I should approach him or not.  I wanted to ask him about that flash video.  I wanted to know if it was his first video or if he’s made a lot more.  I wanted to tell him about how I make movies.  I wanted to ask him if he wanted to collaborate.  That video was driving me nuts!

I decided against it.  I left the computer lab.  I decided that talking to MGS Kid in real life would probably be a let down and he wouldn’t measure up to the status I’ve made of him in my head.  This will be my last day in the JALC Computer Lab for awhile and he’s not here.  I guess it proves that old adage:

Some legends should never be met so that they can stay legendary.
